26X4.438 Standard Locknut Part Number
This is our most popular series of adapter assemblies. They are the most commonly used method for locating tapered bore ball or roller bearings onto a cylindrical shaft. This series of adapters are used with 12 and 13 series self-aligning ball bearings, and 213 and 222 series spherical roller bearings.

- SNW00 through SNW44 series use a standard series (N-00) locknut and (W-00) lockwasher configuration.SNP48 and larger use thin section (N-000) locknuts and (P) lockplates to accommodate larger shaft assemblies.
- Can be mounted directly to a straight shaft or on against the step on a stepped shaft for accurate axial positioning.
- Adapter sleeves and N and AN locknuts can be reused, provided they are not damaged. A new lockwasher or locking plate should be used each time the corresponding locknut is installed.
- Conforms with ABMA, SAE and ABEC standards for bearing and power transmission applications. Unless otherwise specified, manufactured from AISI grade 1000 or 1200 series steel.
- Bearing bore surface finish will not exceed 100 microinches for sizes 00-10, 120 microinches for sizes 11-22, and 150 microinches for sizes above 22.
